About
I received my MFA from UCLA School of Film & Television in 2008. Throughout my time at UCLA I received positive recognition for my work including an award from the National Association of Theater Owners Award for Directing (2008).
In 2012, I got my first taste of sentence mitigation filmmaking when an attorney with the Federal Public Defender asked me to prepare a “video” for her client convicted of assault. I found the work utterly fascinating and decided that I would try and find a way to do it full time. By 2015 I had managed to become a full time sentence mitigation film expert. I have worked on both state and federal cases ranging from violent crime and drug trafficking to white collar crimes like fraud and copyright infringement.
As a leading expert in this field I have held trainings, seminars and CLEs nationwide for NACDL, The Bar Association, NASAMS, Brooklyn Defenders, Federal Defender Training Services and others.
I am currently working on a feature documentary film about “Title IX’s Due Process Crisis”.
