Our clemency strategy involved weaving a neuropsychiatric evaluation in with Mr. Floyd's trajectory, from in utero, throughout his time in the US Marines and all the way up to the day he committed his mass shooting of four innocent people. I was not permitted access to Mr. Floyd but was able to tell his story nonetheless with the cooperation of witnesses throughout the country.
